Houston — On June 1st, two leading members of the Texas State Board of Education, Pastor Brandon Hall and Dr. Julie Pickren participated in program moderated by Frank Gaffney, the President of the Institute for the American Future, addressing the threat posed by sharia-supremacists with a special focus on Texas public schools.
In informal remarks and responses to questions, they provided powerful warnings about the efforts of adherents to sharia joining forces with Communists and others on the radical left (what has been dubbed the Red-Green axis) to indoctrinate students to revile their country and/or embrace its enemies.
Rev. Hall and Dr. Pickren urged patriotic Americans to participate in two upcoming – and potentially momentous – events:
- the State Board of Education’s next meeting on June 22nd concerning yet-another effort by the Red-Green axis to advance an anti-American curriculum for the K-12 social studies in Texas and, in all likelihood, across the country; and
- the next meeting of the Ft. Worth Independent School District on June 23rd concerning an investigation into social media posts by a sharia-adherent Muslim principal named Shayma Alzubi that reportedly violated the ISD’s policy and resulted in her reassignment.
The video of the program sponsored by the Save Texas, Save America Campaign (BanSharia.com) can be found here. Its release coincides with action in the Texas Republican Party Convention to advance the agenda endorsed by 1.9 million Texans on March 3rd in support of Proposition 10 on the Republican primary ballot: “Texas should prohibit sharia law.”
