Rally for Truth about Sharia:
Support Fort Worth Board of Education in Holding Accountable, Not Rewarding Those Who Don’t Tell It

3:00 p.m. CT, June 1, 2026 | ZBonz Dog Park, Ft. Worth

Ft. Worth – On Thursday, the terrorist organization doing business as the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) convened a press conference in Ft. Worth to denounce and call for the immediate reversal of a decision taken by the city’s Independent School District (ISD) regarding the appointment of a teacher and assistant principal named Shayma Alzubi to serve as the principal of its Western Hills High School. On Monday at 3:00 p.m., freedom-loving Americans who strongly support the ISD’s action will respond.

In the company of fellow sharia-supremacists, radical leftist allies and others (for a detailed analysis of the participants see the RAIR Foundation’s excellent post today here), CAIR – which Texas Governor Greg Abbott courageously designated last year, along with its murderous parent organization, the Muslim Brotherhood, as foreign terrorist and transnational criminal organizations – announced its intention to seize upon a “workshop meeting” of the ISD’s Board of Education today. In the words of one participant, their goal is to “command” it to end an investigation into problematic social media posts by Ms. Alzubi and put her in charge of the 2,000-student public school.

Of particular concern are Ms. Alzubi’s posts dissembling about the true nature of Islam’s totalitarian political-military-legal system known as sharia. One post read aloud at CAIR’s press conference smacked of the practice sharia makes obligatory known as taqiyya, or lying for Islam. It claimed that for, “most Muslims living in the U.S. ‘sharia’ looks like: praying, fasting during Ramadan, donating to charity, avoiding alcohol/pork, trying to live an ethical life.”

This egregiously misleading characterization of what is, in fact, a strategy for war played into the event’s main subtext: the Albuzi reassignment and investigation amounts to a return to Jim Crow-style racism and to “Islamophobia” by political leaders in Texas from Gov. Abbott on down to “keyboard activists” who falsely portray sharia as a threat.

A particularly dramatic example of taqiyya occurred when the Dallas Masjid’s Muhammad Abdullah, the self-described “Imam of the People,” swore on a Koran that he doesn’t know any imams who want to replace the U.S. Constitution with sharia. As the Ft. Worth Star-Telegram described his remarks, “he explained that sharia law is a moral and religious framework in Islam. It is a voluntary, not a compulsory, decision to follow it, and those who do must still follow the rule of the land.”

Patriotic Americans who know better and agree with the 1.9 million Texans who voted affirmatively in March for Proposition 10 – “Texas should prohibit sharia law” – will be rallying at 3:00 p.m. at the North Z Boaz public park at 6950 Camp Bowie West Boulevard in advance of the ISD’s workshop at 5 p.m. in a public park adjacent to its Service Center meeting venue at 7060 Camp Bowie West Boulevard, Fort Worth. The park features the “ZBonz Dog Park” – facilitating the participation of pets that would be prohibited and killed under sharia.

Among the speakers expected to make remarks in the Rally for Truth about Sharia are: State Board of Education members Brandon Hall (in whose district is the Western Hills High School) and Julie Pickren – leaders in the fight against the anti-American, pro-Communist and sharia-submissive K-12 social studies curriculum favored by CAIR and its Red-Green allies; Bo French, Republican nominee for Texas Railroad Commissioner; Debbie Georgatos, Republican Committeewoman for Texas; subject matter experts, Frank Gaffney of the Save Texas, Save America Campaign (BanSharia.com) and Krista Sheld of the RAIR Foundation.

Afterwards, the speakers and attendees will be invited to move across Camp Bowie West Boulevard to the ISD Board of Education meeting in the Service registered in advance here. There is also an option of submitting a written statement for the record.
